Christmas Presents and Boxing Day Sales Haul

I hope you all had a Merry Christmas this year. I went to the beach and ate roast (yum!) and also got some wonderful gifts! I thought I'd go ahead and share my beauty related gifts. Although I worked today (Boxing Day) I did finish at 2pm so I decided to go ahead and scour the shops for any bargains, and I found a couple!

Firstly my boyfriend picked out this Angel perfume set for me. He saw that I am just finishing up the bottle of Alien that he got me last year so he decided to surprise me with Angel this year.

The gift set came in a pretty hat box and included a 25ml refillable bottle of Angel, and a matching Body Lotion and Shower gel.

The other beauty related gift the boyfriend gifted me was a set of Face Masks from Origins. I actually picked this out and he bought it for me, I had been wanting to try these masks for ages and the pack was a really good value and allowed me to try all three!

My lovely brother also sent me a Myer Gift card for Christmas which I received last week. On Christmas Eve I found out about a voucher that was currently running at Myer where you could get $20 off any purchase over $30. So naturally I used it four times! I got a MAC Lipstick in Angel (down to $16), a Napoleon Lipstick in Hess (down to $15), Benefit Rockateur Blush (down to $31) and Lancome Teint Miracle Foundation (down to $30). The deal expired on Christmas Eve itself so I didn't have time to post about taking advantage of the deal, but if I had've known earlier I definitely would have bought more!

I went into Lush today and they were sold out of a lot of things however they did have left this bottle of No Drought Dry Shampoo. At 50% off it cost me $6.75. As I said before, the Lancome Teint Miracle Foundation was bought Christmas Eve from Myer. I also decided to pop into Dusk and they had heaps of candles for 40-50% off. I picked out this one in Hot Chocolate, and it smells amazing.

Lastly, I popped into Mecca thinking that there wouldn't be any deals and I happened upon the best deal of the day! I have been wanting to try the Stila Smudge Sticks for a while but I kind of resent paying a lot for eyeliner when there are so many good ones put out by low end brands. I was floored when I found this set of 5 full sized Smudge Sticks on sale for just $25. So of course I picked it up!

The colours included are Angelfish, Moray, Oscar Fish and Stargazer.

I also went to try and find the Balm Voyage Palette in the sale at DJ's however it was completely sold out. So were the sets of YSL Manifesto Perfume. But I am still so happy with the bargains I found and the sweet gifts I received!

Did you brave the boxing day sales? What beauty items did you get for Christmas?

I hope you had a Merry Christmas and that you have a happy and healthy 2014!

  1. Oh wow you're fast! I'm always a week behind on my posts. :P Did you go to Priceline? They had 40% off. Didn't get any beauty items myself but we did stock up on skincare for the year. :) Went to Lush and got a couple bath bombs, most xmas products were sold out, though they had full stock of giftboxes.

  8. I braved the crowds and picked up a few bits and pieces and a few pressies. I was organised, so whatever needed sizing and matching, I tried out in advance, so I didn't have to wait in lines to the fitting rooms! Yay!

Those Stila Smudge Sticks look amazing!
