May has been super busy, but who I am kidding, this whole year has been super busy so far. Despite running around university all month like a crazy woman, I've still managed to accumulate some new favourites here and there. I have been trying my best to switch up my products and take advantage of my entire collection.
The goods
The lovely Daria sent me Mac's Cream Colour Base in Hush in our swap last year and I knew straight away that it was going to be an amazing natural highlighter, and I have really been liking the look it gives this month. Having a peachy tone means that it melds really well with my skintone and looks simply radiant. This is a must have product for me!
The lovely Gaelle threw this MUA cream blush in Blossom in as a freebie when I purchased a couple of Nars Eye shadow duos from her blog sale, and wow if this isn't the nicest colour ever, a perfect nude pink. This cream blush has such an amazing texture, I couldn't believe how cheap it is. It feels very high quality. I want this colour in a powder blush now too!
Blossom and Hush
After I used up my Mayebelline Fit Me Concealer last month I allowed myself to pick up Mac Pro Longwear Concealer than I had heard so many good things about. It definitely stood up to expectations, this is long wearing, high coverage, heavy duty concealer. This is also a lot more transfer resistant than Fit Me, which is what I was really looking for. Would highly recommend this!
Covergirl Wine to Five was a part of the swap I did with Shell at the start of the month. This is my favourite dark nail polish at the moment, it has just the right amount of wine red and berry. The formula is fantastic too.

I can't believe I haven't blogged about the Face of Australia Brow Kit yet, but spoiler alert - I love it. It contains really cool toned brown shadows that really prevent that weird warm eyebrow look. They also make amazing eye shadows, which is what I have been using the darker shade for, as it's too dark for my brows. Despite my love of the brow powders, the tinted wax is my actually my favourite part!
I have had this Rimmel Soft Kohl Kajal Eye Liner Pencil in Sable Brown sitting around in my drawer for at least a year, but this month I randomly got it out and gave it a good workout. It's not as smooth and soft as the new Scandaleyes Rimmel eyeliners, but I love it none the less. The colour is just perfect for me.

My current favourite TV Show is RuPauls's Drag Race. It is a reality show about drag queens competing against one another to be the best drag queen. It's sassy, bitchy and they all have fabulous makeup. I love it.
My favourite picture this month
I am excited for June, it's the end of my uni semester and the last two episodes of Game of Thrones!

Oh yes, Game of Thrones. Can't believe the season is about to end (again!). You have to wait forever for the next season each time. Sigh.
ReplyDeleteI need to start watching that drag queen show!
I have that CG nail polish and I really like it too - it's a great shade for autumn/winter. That MUA blush looks to be a lovely colour - I've only tried their eyeshadow palette in Heaven and Earth but have heard some good things about their blushes too.
I know :'(
DeleteI've been looking for a new eyebrow powder. Would you say the FOA one is a cool toned brown? Or any recommendations for a cool toned brown?
ReplyDeleteThey are very cool toned.
DeleteI love a nude pink blush. The Blosoom and Hush ones look really pretty.
ReplyDeleteThe MUA blush looks soo pretty! I love Hush too but I prefer to use it as a base for my blushes, I don't know why I don't like it as a highlight! The FOA brow kit looks amazing, I might have to give it a go, I didn't know it had a wax in it. xx
ReplyDeleteHush is BEAUTIFUL.
