I had the pleasure of meeting the lovely Shell from Love From Shell recently, for an evening of shopping in the city. After endless chats about makeup and life, we decided that it would be a great idea to do a collab post, so here it is!
We decided set a challenge to update each other's makeup for the Autumn/Winter for $50. Luckily it coincided with the 40% off Priceline sale! Anyways, onto what she got me!
This Maybelline eyeshadow quad in Give Me Gold couldn't possibly be more autumnal. As the days grow shorter and the morning light turns golden, I can't think of a better excuse to turn to rich, warm browns and golds. The quality of these eye shadows was unexpectedly good, however I did experience some fading.

What better to match golden eyes than golden cheeks? Rimmel Lasting Finish Soft Colour Blush in Tuscany is a bronze blush (I'd even call it a bronzer) with the tiniest hint of a sparkle. It goes beautifully with Give me Gold and it wears very well on me. I thought this may be a dupe for my favourite Nars Madly, but it is definitely more dark and more bronze.
Alas, Perth does not have the chilliest of winters. I miss the south east coast where I grew up, where it rained, stormed and even frosted this time of the year. Atleast I can pretend it's getting colder with these deep navy blues. Bourjois Duochrome Eyeliner in Noir Bleute is a regular black eyeliner when it's in shadow but when it hits the light you can see a metallic navy blue. Models Prefer Infinite Shadow Pencil in Mystique is a blackened teal. They both wear well, but the Models Prefer one is my personal favourite. It is creamy enough that I end up running my eyeliner brush over it and applying it in that manner, rather than directly from the pencil. I will have to do another look where I use it as a base for a navy blue smokey eye!

Wine reds are one of my favourite color palettes for the winter. I am in love with the rich berry hues of this Covergirl Nail Polish, called Wine to Five. As opposed to this, Revlon's Wine with Everything is a more warmer take on wine reds. I am in love with the formulas of both of these products.
Give Me Gold, Tuscany and Wine With Everything
I hope this both gave you some ideas of products to reach for this autumn/winter season. I will be posting more looks featuring these colours soon, so stay tuned!
