Cellnique Skincare

As someone obsessed with makeup,  I don't know why I always skipped over skincare products. However for the last year my interest in skincare has grown, when fine lines started rearing their ugly heads under my eyes. Anyways, a company called Cellnique contacted me about a month and a half ago asking if I wanted to try out some of their skincare products from the b.liv line. Shall we see what the verdict is?

b.liv by Cellnique Balm and Calm, Soothe and Splash and Repair and Rescue

First up we have Balm and Calm, which is a serum designed for sensitive skin, to reduce sensitivity and repair your skins natural barrier. It is a clear gel consistency. The things I liked about this is that it is very fast absorbing and it made my moisturiser sink into my skin well. My skin has been feeling a bit less sensitive overall since I have been using this in combination with the Soothe and Splash Moisturiser. However I don't feel the results were enough to write home about!

The website says that it works best for those with red acne prone or extremely dry skin, and maybe the reason I only saw moderate results is because I only have moderate sensitivity. It retails for $49. I don't think I would purchase this myself, unless my skin was really acting up.

Next we have the Soothe and Splash Moisturiser. I love this stuff. It goes great under makeup, and makes my skin feel so soft! Their website says you will have radiant, velvety skin, which I think is a perfect way to describe how my skin felt. My skin's texture felt totally smooth after using this product for 2 weeks. I liked that I actually saw a change in my skin's texture, which was very nice!

My only gripe with this product is that it doesn't have SPF in it, which is something I look for in a daily moisturiser. It retails for $39. I wish this had SPF in it, if it did I would purchase it myself.

Last but not least I was sent a box of the Repair and Rescue Sheet masks. There are seven in the box when you get them but I have already used four up, once a week since I got them. I absolutely love these masks. They are the most effective face masks I have ever tried.

Cellnique say that these masks rescue skin from sensitivity, restore skin's renewal to tone and rejuvenate the complexion. Basically what I experienced after using these was my skin feeling very very moisturised and smooth. If I had any redness it was completely calmed town and my skin almost felt more plump and youthful. If you have dry, irritated or tired looking skin, you need these in your life. I am saving these last three for when I have something special on and want my skin to look radiant. These masks retail for $25. Hell yeah I will be purchasing these with my own money.

Overall I have to say I love this brand. Their packaging is really clean and simple, and the products do what they say on the bottle. I'd be interested to see how someone with worse skin found the Balm and Calm serum. There website is and they have free shipping on all orders, worldwide. That's always something I like to hear!

Cellnique also gave me a 30% coupon code for you to use which is BLG30A

The coupon expires on 30/6/13

I'd love to know what is your holy grail skincare item?

  1. I have never heard of the brand before.. But your review makes me want to try their products ^^
But I am kind of skin care junkie, which I think I got it from my mom. lol
My HG skin care item is now from hada labo, an affordable japanese brand but works well for my skin condition.

  2. I was also given the opportunity to try some of their products out and I love the brand too! It was nice to see your thoughts on some of the other products I didn't know they had :)

  3. This sounds very interesting. I've never heard of the brand either!

  4. Great review, from what I've heard this brand has really good products! I think I will probably have to give those masks a go, they sound amazing! xx

  5. I've never heard of this brand before, great reviews, lovely!

I'd probably pick the masks, they sound interesting!

  6. I love how this brand has such specialised products, I've been trying out their stuff for the past month and am quite a fan. Those masks sound amazing for when you're having a bad skin day (or week, as I often do haha). xx

  7. Wow, the sheet masks must be really good! I've never been wowed by a sheet mask before, but to be fair I haven't tried many... these sound great!

  8. These products sound great! I also received a few products from Cellnique but none of the ones you tried, hopefully mine turn out to be half as good as yours! :)

  9. I was just sent a few products from them and I can't wait to try them out!

  10. I've never heard of this brand but glad that you had a positive experience with the products :) I used to have absolutely no interest in skin care until probably the last half year. I still keep it relatively simple - I'm a big fan of face oils though. Josie Maran Argan Oil and Caudalie Divine Oil are a couple of my favs :)

  11. I got a few products from bliv too, but not the ones you have here! The soothe and splash looks so refreshing, and glad to hear that it worked well for your skin. Usually with the harsh Australian sun I normally like to apply sunscreen separately and on top of my moisturiser- but inbuilt SPF will make the daily routine much more easier! For a second I thought you meant the masks cost $25 each, glad to know it's in a pack of 7 which makes it much better haha! They sound great and I think I might try them :)

  12. a fellow aussie!! we've never heard of this brand before this post, but now we've defintely got to check it out, especially the under eye cream!

  13. I know Skinlastin one of great website about go

  14. Skin care supports fragmentation, enhances appearance and relieves skin condition. Avoiding excessive sun exposure may include proper use of molybdenum.
