My empties drawer was getting very full again so it's time to empty it out and let you guys know my thoughts on these products. I have decided to just do my empties when I finish a decent amount of products, rather than making it a monthly thing, I hope that is okay with you guys.
Avene Eau Thermale Water - I love this stuff as it is very refreshing, although I wonder if this stuff really does anything... I mean it's only water in a can! Would probably repurchase.
Neutrogena Oil Free Eye Makeup Remover - A very good eye makeup remover, I have repurchased it many times already, although I am currently using the Bioderma :)
Girlz Only Dry Shampoo - An okay dry shampoo for the $2 price tag. I prefer Klorane's formula :)
Bioderma Hydrabio Micellaire Solution - I love this stuff! It sucks that it's not more widely available in Australia. I already have two 500ml back ups thanks to Gaelle. Would forever repurchase.
Nivea Intensive Hand Cream - A very average hand cream. Would not repurchase.
Lancome Hypnose Drama Mascara - This mascara is good, however it clumps up a fair bit. I prefer the regular Hypnose or the Doll Eyes. Would not repurchase.
Max Factor False Lash Effect - I had such high hopes for this Mascara but sadly I hated it. The formula is super dry and I also think that I hate plastic bristles... Would not repurchase
Seche Vite - I love this top coat but I will never use it again because of the ingredients that cause birth defects. Would not repurchase.
Origins Gin Zing Eye Cream Sample - I am so glad I asked for a sample of this before buying the full size. I don't understand why people overhype this eye cream so much online, I personally think that it sucks... Would not purchase the full size.
Kiehls Creme de Corps Sample - This smells so lovely and feels so great on the skin, I would look into repurchasing if I ever use up all of the body lotions that I have stored away!
Chanel Vitalumiere Aqua Sample - This foundation is gorgeous It feels very similar to Boujois Healthy Mix though, which is less than half of the price. I would maybe repurchase, I'm not sure about the price!
What have you used up this month?
Mishelle
I really want to try Neutrogena Oil Free Eye Makeup Remover and Bioderma!

I Love my Seche Vite to but I'm throwing mine out & stop buying it after hearing how bad it really is. it's almost empty anyway so I dont feel bad trashing it :)
ReplyDeleteYes, Seche Vite scares me because of the ingredients! And I felt the same way about the GinZing eye cream... I tried a sample and it did not work well under makeup! I looove Bioderma!! xo, Ellie
ReplyDeleteI'm glad I'm not the only one!
DeleteI agree with you that vitalumiere aqua feels similar with bourjois healthy mix.. they are both lightweight and really flattering ! ;)
ReplyDeleteHypnose Drama is my HG mascara, I agree it is a bit clumpy so I make sure to comb my lashes out to make them look more defined. I didn't know about the Bioderma Hydrabio Micellar Solution, I've been using the Sensibo one for about a year now. Is this one more hydrating?
ReplyDeleteIt seems to dry my skin out less for sure!
DeleteI've heard the same notion about seche vite and did a little research on it. It will only affect you if you actually consume the product itself, hence it is still safe to use on your nails. But it's your choice whether or not you buy it not. Great empties - I love Bioderma as well :)
ReplyDeleteYou're probably right haha, but I am just a worry wart about these kinds of things!
DeleteThat Chanel foundation really is very similar to the Healthy Mix. I love them both! :)
ReplyDeleteI'm really loving Neutrogena products at the moment! And Vitalumiere is my current foundation of choice...it's got such a lovely medium coverage that looks so natural. I'll be getting back into my perfection lumiere next time but this stuff is great...especially during the summer!
ReplyDeleteGreat post!

I also don't really get the hype behind Gin Zing eye cream. I also tried a sample and meeh.. don't see much of a difference. I love Creme de Corps, it's a beautiful lotion. xx
ReplyDeleteAw disappointing that the Nivea hand cream was not intensive, I hate when they label product falsely!
ReplyDeleteI'm starting to reach the end of my Seche Vite bottle and I'm thinking about not repurchasing for the same reason as you...have you found a decent alternative?
ReplyDeleteI am currently using the Sally Hanson Mega Shine Top Coat and I love it! It takes longer to dry but it doesn't shrink as much as the Seche Vite did :)
DeleteI recently got a bottle of Avene Thermal Spring Water spray and I love it! It is so refreshing and the small size is so convenient :) It might just be water in a can... but it is such a great idea. I'm thinking of purchasing Bioderma makeup removers but it is just so expensive and I'm not sure if I want to splurge on a product that removes makeup! How funny that you dislike dry mascaras with plastic wands- they are my favourite types! Must be our different lash types (might are straight and stick downwards and need as much curl as they can get!).
ReplyDeleteI feel like everyone has their own type of mascara that they prefer haha :)

I use the same makeup remover and just finished it too. :) haha I really want to try some Bioderma products.
ReplyDeleteReally want to try Vitalumiere Aqua! Definitely one foundation that is top of my wishlist. So jealous you have 2x500ml backups of Bioderma! :p
ReplyDeleteI am lucky someone awesome offered to send me some from France!
DeleteI feel the same about Seche Vite. Can't believe they're still using those ingredients when almost all other nail polish companies have gone 3-free. I've been using Bioderma too (but with the pink lid).

I am totally the same with my faves, I have a whole collection at the moment but I have a couple of things that are almost finished that I'm waiting for! I was so close to buying for seche vite but I definitely will not now I know how harmful it can be. Sorry to hear you didn't like the max factor false lash effect mascara, but at least there are plenty more out there to try!

I would love to try Neutrogena's make up remover.

Great post - I love bioderma too!

I have the same dry shampoo and I did think it worked very well for the price, but definitely prefer Batiste in my case!
ReplyDeleteI also would suggest Poshe topcoat over SV!
Hi just found your blog! Ah I need to get my hands on Bioderma, I've heard a ridiculous amount of amazing reviews for it :)! It's finally going to be stocked in the UK during April, yay! I'd also love to test out the Chanel vita lumier foundation too. Really good post!

Great empties! I love that you've finished up make up! That's not something I've done very often! I'm quite happy whenever I hear that people really find that chanel foundations are a lot like bourjois, they are sister companies so I guess that would explain so many similarities! Thanks for sharing, I've tried some lancome mascaras and I do love the virtuose one!
