Does Mac's Satin Taupe even need an introduction? I feel like nearly every blog post I have seen entitled What's in my Mac Palette, and there is a good reason it is such a coveted shade. I own a grand total of two Mac eye shadows, this being the first I ever bought. And boy is she a beaute.
I have been very busy in the last few weeks, and I am sure I will only get busier when uni starts up again next week. This has made me look through my collection and pull out items that give me a polished look in the least amount of time possible. Satin Taupe is just that, an eye shadow that looks beautiful simply applied with a fluffy eye shadow brush all over the lid and then blended into the crease. It truly is an every day shade, it never looks dramatic or overdone, but it doesn't result in a 'no makeup' makeup look either.
I love Satin Taupe, I really do. I don't think I'd ever want to be without this shade in my collection, it is just so necessary to me. I would highly recommend this as a first choice from Mac's many eye shadows if you have not yet tried them out, or as an essential part of your Mac collection if you are already an avid fan.
Please let me know what your favourite shade of eye shadow is from Mac, I am going to invest in a 15 pan palette quite soon and I am making a list of shadows to fill it with :)

I love the quality of MAC eyeshadows but unfortunately I don't own any at the moment but my first ever MAC purchase was the eyeshadow Tempting & It began my obsession with make up it is beyond gorgeous :)
ReplyDeleteI love satin taupe :)
It looks so pretty!
ReplyDeleteSeen and heard bunches about this shade of course! But Ive got so many taupes in my collection right now, If I could get one more it has to be from NYX and l'oreals infallible shadows!
ReplyDeleteSatin Taupe has been on my wishlist for such a long time! It looks stunning on your eye btw :)
ReplyDeleteI adore Satin Taupe, I use it a lot! I think at the moment it's my favourite MAC shade, I did just get Shale which I think may nudge into top position. I haven't tried it yet though.
ReplyDeleteI suggest waiting for the new palettes to come out, they are sold as a palette and then you buy the different inserts for them, including the 15 pan. I just got mine in the mail today. I'll take photos and put up a post on the tomorrow if you want to see what they look like. I suggest purchasing the shadows from the U.S. too, they are less than half price over there!
That would be awesome Tara, I will definitely be ordering from the US!
DeleteThis is a lovely shade, and it looks lovely on your eye by itself! I have 2 MAC shadows, Cranberry and Sketch and although they're lovely to apply I find I don't use them much because they're a bit scary! I think I may need to get Satin Taupe to add to my quad.
ReplyDeleteBeen wanting this for ages! It's beautiful and looks like a great colour for those lazy days where you still want something quick and easy on your lids!
ReplyDeleteI just ordered Satin Taupe and I am anxiously awaiting its arrival. I've been doing quite a bit of research to which shades I want to add to my palette. Some shadows either on my wish list or in the mail are: woodwinked, vanilla, brulee, embark, and wedge.
ReplyDeleteI would love to own this shadow its something everyone raves about and it looks so pretty in the pictures. The only MAC eyeshadow I own is Woodwinked and I hardly ever wear it, but I'm thinking that Satin Taupe and Woodwinked would go really well together.
ReplyDeleteooooooh it looks so lovely!! I think I need this one!!
ReplyDeleteMy fave eye shadow from MAC is cranberry ( and vanilla! ) ;))
This is my only MAC eyeshadow and I love it!
ReplyDeleteWhat a pretty everyday shade! My favorite taupe must be Too Faced 'Sitcom Siren' and Essence 'Party All Night' x
ReplyDeleteThis shade looks gorgeous without being too dramatic for a daytime use. :)

This is stunning! I really want this one.
ReplyDeleteI love neutral shades, especially taupes as they are just so wearable! Unfortunately I haven't had the opportunity to try any MAC eyeshadows yet (a bit too much for my budget_ but the formulation and texture looks amazing! Satin Taupe looks so effortless on you, yet still giving your eyes a bit of emphasis :)
ReplyDeleteSo pretty on you as an all-over lid colour :) Can see how easy this one would be to wear everyday!
ReplyDeleteOh that's nice color babe...
ReplyDeleteY park
