A while ago whilst browsing Temptalia's infamous beauty blog I stumbled upon a glowing review for the pressed formula of bareMinerals eye shadows. When I saw their new 8 colour palettes they released late last year, I was inspired to pick up their palette called The Star Treatment, and I was not disappointed.
This palette contains 8 shades of eye shadow, which vary from shimmer to intense metallic finishes. It also comes with a small dual ended eye shadow brush and a sample size of bareMinerals Prime Time Eye Shadow Primer, which performs very similarly to Urban Decay's Primer Potion. The texture of the shadows is somewhere inbetween Urban Decay's eye shadows and Loreal's Infallible pressed pigment eye shadows, and the finish is similar to the latter. The eye shadow formula quality is top notch here, there's not a single dud shade, and the wear time is probably the best in my collection. I have gotten 14 hour wear out of these shades and they look identical as to when I put them on.
This really is a stellar palette. The only problem I have found with it is the composition of the shades. I feel like for most situations I would use only need one colour from this palette to make a statement on the eye. Using entirely shimmery and metallic shades from this palette results in a very intense look, best saved for special occasions or evening. In this sense, it is not an all encompassing palette. I will however be reaching for this palette straight away on a night out.
Extravagance on the inner third, Connoisseur on the center, Ritzy in the crease and VIP as liner.
This retails for $52.95 in Australia, I got mine from Kit Cosmetics. I would recommend this palette if you are looking for a nice set of metallic neutrals to add to your collection. These shades whilst being neutral, aren't exactly for the faint hearted. I will definitely be trying out more eye shadows from bareMinerals in the future, their formulation has blown me out of the water.

This is such a pretty palette but I agree it's hard when they give you all really intense colours,I think that's why the naked palettes are so big they are so versatile! Thanks for sharing mishelle :)
