When it comes to high end products, I am not usually tempted by collections. The reason for this is when I usually get my hopes up about a product it sells out before I can get my hands on it. However in Lancome's Midnight Roses Collection there was one product that I did manage to get my hands on, and that was their Midnight Rose Highlighting blush. This beautiful pink toned highlighter is embossed with the design of a rose, and if the design isn't enough to make you want it, the performance of the product is amazing.
This highlighter is a frosty pale pink colour. It swatches with not a sparkle or a glitter but with simply a beautiful, radiant glow. Lancome call this a highlighting blush but on my pale skin I don't find I get enough pink pigment to use this as a blush. However I have however enjoyed layering this product over other blushes to give a beautiful glow to the cheeks. I have also noticed on my cheeks it does not emphasize my imperfections or make me look shiny/oily, as some other products have.
This highlighter wears all day on me and it stays looking glowy on my skin. I know this is product I will get a lot of use out of all year round, as it will compliment both pale winter looks and glowing summer looks. I have been using this highlighter almost every day since I got it.
This retails for a whopping $75 in Australia, but I got mine for $42 from Nordstroms, and used PriceUSA as a shipping forwarder. If I had the money to burn I would buy a couple of backups. This product is amazing, I cannot recommend it enough.
PS: I am now officially mishellesleepytime.com!!! Yay!
